The Falling Through the Cracks Committee, sponsors of FLKids.com, provides a service to Ontario County children and families who have problems, needs or concerns which they feel need to be addressed but which aren't serious enough to involve them in the social service or juvenile justice system.
Parents, human service workers, teachers, family members, friends, or even youth themselves can make a referral to the Community Resource and Referral Committee asking for guidance and support. A panel of professionals from across the county volunteer their time to help these families connect with the many dedicated providers of services already in existence in our county.
The group considers this a groundbreaking effort as it utilizes already existing talent and services, and merely provides a vehicle to connect the provider with the user. And because all of the professionals have volunteered their time, this can be accomplished at minimal cost and with no charge to the customer.
